Today my heart is full of crows, beat down by the grinding wheel of existence. We lost Kathy Johnston of the Mydolls last weekend, who I had the privilege to play alongside in Mydolls and No Love Less. Smart as heck, boundless and beautiful, and determined to hit her percussion and nuanced guitar chords even in her days of sickness, she is the emblem of punk fortitude and perseverance. We miss and love her until the end of the earth. In those chords forever buzzing, we will build the new nation, in which no lovers, anywhere, should be at the mercy of unjust laws.
